MyCounsel offers subscription-based access to our legal research platform. We want you to be satisfied with your subscription. This policy outlines when refunds are available and how to request one.
Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:
- You request a refund within 7 days of your initial subscription payment and have not made significant use of the platform.
- You were charged incorrectly due to a billing error on our end.
- The platform experienced a prolonged outage (more than 48 continuous hours) during your paid subscription period.
- Your account was charged after you had properly cancelled your subscription.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally not eligible for refunds:
- Subscription fees after the 7-day window, where the platform has been actively used.
- Partial months — subscriptions are billed for the full period and cancellations take effect at period end.
- Add-on credits or one-time purchases that have been consumed.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email us at support@mycounsel.co with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your registered email address and a brief explanation of your reason.
- Our team will review your request within 3 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Processing Timeline
Once approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card provider. You will receive a confirmation email when the refund has been initiated.

Overview
MyCounsel provides access to a large database of Pakistani case law and AI-powered legal research tools. To ensure a reliable and equitable experience for all users, we apply fair usage limits on certain features. These limits are designed to prevent automated scraping, abuse, and excessive resource consumption — not to restrict legitimate legal research.

Plans marked “fair use” are displayed as “Unlimited” in pricing and are intended for normal legal research workflows. Limits exist solely to prevent automated bulk extraction.
Prohibited Uses
- Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading of case law or statutory content.
- Using the platform to build a competing database or product without written permission.
- Sharing account credentials to circumvent per-user limits.
- Using the AI Legal Chat for anything other than legitimate legal research and drafting.
Enforcement
Accounts found to be in violation of this Fair Usage Policy may have their access throttled, suspended, or terminated without a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to contact users before taking enforcement action except in cases of clear abuse.
